EQUALS LIbrary
The EQUALS Library can provide students with a range of useful books, videos, dvd's and journals in both print and/or electronic format.
Students may borrow resources using their valid Student ID card or equivalent.

Student/Community borrowers will have access to:

Computing and Printing Facilities
Students have access to computing and printing facilities in the quiet study and computing lounge areas and may book the use of multi-media equipment for preparation of assignments and presentations.

Western Journal of Nursing Research
Western Journal of Nursing Research (WJN) is a peer-reviewed journal published eight times a year providing an innovative forum for nurse researchers, students and clinical practitioners to participate in ongoing scholarly debate. WJNR offers clinical research reports broadened by commentaries and authors' responses.
Clinical Nursing Research
Clinical Nursing Research (CNR) is a peer-reviewed quarterly journal that addresses issues of clinical research that are meaningful to practicing nurses, providing an international forum to encourage discussion among clinical practitioners, enhance clinical practice by pinpointing potential clinical applications of the latest scholarly research, and disseminate research findings of particular interest to practicing nurses.
Applied Nursing Research
Applied Nursing Research presents original, peer-reviewed research findings clearly and directly for clinical applications in all nursing specialties. Regular features include "Ask the Experts," research briefs, clinical methods, book reviews, news and announcements, and an editorial section.Applied Nursing Research covers such areas as pain management, patient education, discharge planning, nursing diagnosis, job stress in nursing, nursing influence on length of hospital stay, and nurse/physician collaboration.
Australian Journal of Advanced Nursing
The Australian Journal of Advanced Nursing aims to provide a vehicle for nurses to publish original research and scholarly papers about all areas of nursing. Papers will develop, enhance, or critique nursing knowledge. Access here.

National Health & Medical Research Council
The National Health and Medical research Council (NHMRC) is Australia’s leading expert body promoting the development and maintenance of public and individual health standards.
NHMRC brings together within a single national organisation the functions of research funding and development of advice. One of its strengths is that it draws upon the resources of all components of the health system, including governments, medical practitioners, nurses and allied health professionals, researchers, teaching and research institutions, public and private program managers, service administrators, community health organisations, social health researchers and consumers.
The NHMRC regularly publishes guidelines and other information which are a support to health and nursing professionals. As a health and/or nursing student, you are encouraged to use these guidelines and publications during your studies and in your professional practice.
