English Training

EQUALS International programs are taught in English and therefore you are required to demonstrate English proficiency in listening, speaking, reading and writing by completion of an English language test. The IELTS (International English Language Test System) is the preferred English language proficiency qualification. The minimum English language entry requirement for our programs is IELTS 5.5 (overall band score). Band score of each component is not less than 5.0. The IELTS test must be the Academic version. If your English language proficiency does not yet meet the standard, EQUALS International will provide guidance in securing the necessary English training for your studies. The final decision on acceptance of any applicant will be based on an interview with EQUALS International or our approved Education Agent.

If, once the course has commenced, there are some difficulties arise with the level of English proficiency required, then the student is encouraged to speak initially to the International Student Liaison Registrar who can direct them for external assistance.

If you do not yet have the required English level, make sure you apply to EQUALS International well before the starting date of the course you wish to study. You will need to join a package program with English as your preliminary course and one of our visa accredited programs as your primary course of study.
