Ayurvedic Colour and Gem Therapy
Colour therapy balances the body both mentally and physically through the sense of light. Ayurvedic treatments also make use of the healing properties inherent in colours. The seven bodily tissues and the seven biotypes in Ayurvedic physiology are often correlated to the basic colours of the rainbow. As a consequence the vibratory energy of the colours may be used to help establish balance in mind and body. Colours provide emotional strength, creativity, stimulates digestion and circulation. If misused, colours can cause disturbance, depression, lack of appetite, increased toxins, mental hyperactivity, and a weak aura.

Ayurveda and Illness

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word, which means the "Science of Life". Ayurveda, the mother of 'holistic health', is more than 5,000 years old and predates Chinese, Tibetan, and other ancient healing systems. Ayurveda contains the broadest numbers of healing modalities and recommendations include primarily herbs, lifestyle/ dietary changes, aromas, exercises regimes, and detoxification programmes. To many westerners Ayurveda at first glance seems to be exotic, foreign, and old-fashioned, but in reality its ancient wisdom is now even more applicable to the demands of modern life.
The information given in this seminar gives a brief insight into the Ayurvedic approach and clinical evidence in the treatment of common health disorder

A Taste of Healing
Ayurveda is the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundation of many other healing systems. More and more people are turning to Ayurveda as a system of health care. The goal of Ayurveda is to provide guidance regarding food and lifestyle so that healthy people can stay healthy, and folks with health challenges can improve their health. For thousands of years nutrition has been at the core of Ayurveda. Diet can be an effective treatment in itself; it is the essence of safe effective self-care. Each one of us is unique, so it makes sense that no single diet will work for everyone.

Kitchen Pharmacy
If we are all different, why would we even consider the idea that there must be one program of nutrition that is best for everyone; we must consider the needs of each body type. Ayurvedic philosophy dictates that health is not a one-size-fits-all commodity. Ayurveda has the most comprehensive knowledge of nutrition. Ayurveda shows the health benefits of food; like how the right spices can help us digest food better. It teaches us the dynamic effects of each food article for health and disease. While modern medicine is only now beginning to accept the role of food and disease through an examination of phytochemicals, Ayurveda has long regarded diet as the basis of health. Diet can be an effective treatment in itself; it is the essence of safe effective self-care.
